The original publication dates to 1878, and this copy is from at least 1925, when the copyright was renewed for the fourth time. It bears imprimaturs from McCloskey in 1878, Augustine in 1887, and Hayes in 1925. Editions published by Benzinger Bros. are very difficult to come across, nevertheless in this good of condition.

There is some wear to the edges of the hardcover exterior, an inscription inside near the front, and a taped-in article about Kateri of the Mohawks in the back. The pages and content are in very good condition.
